Pastor Wayne Is a Vietnam combat veteran having served tours of duty from 1970 to 1971, where he was attached to the 101st Airborne Division. Pastor Wayne suffered from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, P.T.S.D. for thirty years. On a "Journey Back" tour to Vietnam in 2001 with Rupert Harrell, he received his healing, and today Pastor Wayne is no longer haunted by the demons of that war.
He is supported in ministry by his wife Debra, their children and spouses, Tiffany and Brad Samples, Wayne Jr and Heather, and Eric and Heather, and four grandchildren, Logan, Riley, and Emily, and Colin.

Bishop Wayne Warren, born 1950, serves as the Pastoral Care minister of Abundant Life Ministries in Simpsonville, SC where he has been a member of the church staff since September 2002 and a member of the church since 1994. Pastor Wayne oversees the pastoral care department of the church, along with the deacon and elder ministries, hospital visitation, prayer ministries, and construction projects around the church.
Bishop in the Church of God and has served on various appointed committees within the International denomination, and currently is a member of the State Prayer Force Commission. Pastor Wayne has attained several earned and honorary degrees throughout his thirty plus years of serving in church ministry.
